Four years ago today I was saved. I had what they call 'The Widow Maker" Heart Attack, and was given less then 10% chance to survive.

Many people say I was saved for a reason. The reason is Organ Donor Awareness Foundation. I realized as time went on there is no one out there that is helping the children and families of organ donors financially and giving them hope for the future. We are having a Benefit/Fundraiser June 26th. 6:00 to Midnight at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale. We need everyone's support to be able to help these families. Please be kind, go on the site and donate whatever you can. Today I will be going to Life Alliance Organ Recovery in Miami and through them we will be helping the families that need our support. Neal Bira Founder of Organ Donor Awareness Foundation R.O.C.K's With The Kids - April 18th - 2010; Neal Bira participated at the ROCK CAFE rock camp for kids and young adults charity event. The event now in it's 17th year, held it's gala event of the year at the Marriott Ocean Beach Hotel in Delray Beach, FL.

The event raise funds for kids and young adults with cancer to experience the best 2 week camp experience in the world! There is a college scholarship program that provides college scholarships for kids and young adults with cancer who participate in the program.

The event is orchestrated and managed and provided for the kids by the Chiera Family Foundation. To date the foundation has raised over $2.5 million dollars an have sent thousands of kids to camp and provided numerous college scholarships - with this year alone graduating it's first medical doctor that started in the camp program - (she was granted a scholarship and then went on to medical school - she graduates this week with her Medical Doctorate Degree). Neal was a guest of John Higgins and Ron Donofrio - of iMarketMalls.com the sites new shopping portal.

My Thoughts this Morning…

I sit here today and I am a very lucky man. Yes I had a massive heart attack called the widow maker, 9 out of 10 people die on the way to the hospital, had less than a 10% chance to survive, was lucky enough to have a left ventricular assistance device (LVAD) put in to keep me alive, was hospitalized for months and then went on to have a heart transplant and survived all of this. People say to me "How did you make it through all of this?" YOU MUST BE HERE FOR A REASON.

I met my donor's family, sat next to my donor's son Jeffrey, and we spoke for awhile. He said to me "My father is a hero". I literally hear those words every day. Jeffrey, and many other children like him have dreams and aspirations, but unfortunately no funds to help them achieve their goals.

I woke up one morning and said, "I have a dream to be able to raise money, set up a foundation and help ease the pain of those people who have lost their loved one". The donors are the heroes and their families need to be helped. Yes, I AM HERE FOR A REASON, to get all of you to reach out and help these families. We all can find a way to donate money to this cause and help us make a difference in their lives.

From my heart, we need your help. Thank You............
